Tron Legacy Empty Tron Legacy

Bottom line, probably not worth waiting over 20 years for. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed it, but it somehow seemed watered down. Every time it looked like something great was going to happen, the obvious boring thing happened. In a certain way it reminds me Avatar, in the way that there are no surprize plot twists, it actually unfolds pretty much the way you expect it to. Now the programs are mostly black instead of white. The luminesence is white instead of blue, all the vehicles have been updated and are pretty cool. Seeing Jeff Bridges look like he did in 1982 was pretty neat, although every once in a while the lips didn's seem to match the dialogue that well. It just seems like we finally get the the adventure rolling and it's pretty much over. I will probably buy it when it comes out on DVD but even for diehard fans I'm sure it is a bit of a disappointment.

Bought it on DVD (I HAD to!). And my original judgement stands. I think there was too much back story to tell, and not enough of the games or the light cycles or (wtf) ending fight scene. Visuals are amazing, but just like Avatar, you need a good story in there, and this one just wasn't good enough.
