2011 gigs

We have two tenitive gigs for the beginning of 2011. One is set for the end of Jan which I basically just have to get some details about. I am 90% sure this one will happen. The other is a benefit for a friend of a friend, and the talk is february-ish, but nothing solid yet. We also have a possibilty to play at Paintball Paradise in Aug. We had to turn it down this year because we still didn't have a third guy yet. Although they were disappointed they asked if we could come in 2011 and although it's a long way away, it's a date. I will post details as soon as I have them.

So disappointed, but because of scheduling conflicts we had to cancel our Jan gig. If only we didn't have to work for a living ...

Because of our schedules we have had about a month of inactivity, but we will be back at it again very soon. We are ready to play and have a few possibilities for upcoming gigs, but no confirmed ones yet. I'm hoping to have something solid here soon.

First gig booked! It will be May 14. It is a benefit for a friend of a friend. It was supposed to be earlier this year but, shit happened. I am working on some other dates but nothing yet.

So the benefit will be may 28 and acoustic. I am working on a possible CD release. There are other possibilities, but I would be getting ahead of myself.

The may benefit got cancelled because of organizing problems, and a gig for Aug got cancelled as well and I'm not really sure why. Very disappointed.

As we are now into the 6th month of 2011 the topic seems a bit awkward, but I'm too lazy to change it. Anyway I have a tenitive date for the CD release and hope to add a few more dates to our list. So hopefully July 15 we will be celebrating, we are hoping this date will work.

Weird. The Aug date is back on! Still trying to convince those people we should have our CD release for the july 15th date. Will know one way or the other soon. Then to start convincing others.

Man I can't beleive how exasperating this venue has become! Today I will have to march down there and DEMAND an answer because we have less than 3 weeks to prepare! At least I have 2 possible bands to fill the opening slots. Again tenetively we have Conspiracy of Crows and Laceration opening. I hope everything starts to solidify soon, because this will be a cool show!

Awesome! The contract was there and just needed to be signed. So it done. Our CD release party is confirmed and Conspiracy of Crows said they are about 90% certain. Our second band had to fold on us but I am confident we can still get a good band. So the event will start @ 7 and hopefully we will be playing at 9pm.

I had hoped we would be able to fit another gig in before the summer was over, but that ship has sailed. I am fairly confident that we will nail down at least one more this fall. Because today as I put up a few more posters, I talked to a few people about some upcoming events and it sounds promicing...

Good news! It is starting to look like we may have something starting to materialize in September. I am still bugging other people and will eventually wear them down.

Awesome! Working on gigs for September and October. The October one could be REALLY cool. I will know more later this week.

The September gig is confirmed! We will be playing with the Matt Remenda Ensemble and Saving Face On Sept 30! Looking forward to this upcoming weekend as well as the september gig! The October thing has not materialized and I am getting a bit frustrated. Oh well, I'll keep trying.

Nothing is easy. The October gig is sinking. The "partner" for the gig has backed out so now I am short a venue. I am trying to find another venue, we'll see...

On the other side of the coin though we got invited to a gig on Sep 24. Should be fun.
