Beyond the Lighted Stage Empty Beyond the Lighted Stage

I have heard many good things from alot of other people, but the truth is, for a kinda hardcore fan like myself, I already knew the story. There weren't any big suprizes, and somehow I had hoped for some. I'm not sure why, but I was fairly underwhelmed by the show. One thing that was totally unmentioned was Alex's trouble with the law in 2004 (?). I think that the band did at least some censoring of themsleves. It was nice to see a Rutsy version if Best I Can. It is a shame that he has passed away and we can't get his side of the story. It is kind of funny how they downplay the firing of him (and of Geddy Lee temporarily!). I guess that's what I feel about Sam Dunns films, is that they only scratch the surface.

I heard a rumor that Sam Dunn was doing a documentary on Voivod, but I wonder when and if that will ever surface.
