Finally!!! After both bands backing out, I had an extremely hard time finding someone short notice. Thanks to Nonsence that is over, they agreed to play for our CD release party! I have one less thing to be stressed out about. OK see you in about 10 days!

We practiced today and I could tell, that for some reason we were all a bit off. Just one of those things. Overall everything is sounding good and it feels good and I can tell. When we leave our sweaty little room I know we are gelling better and sounding better. We have added another song from Fallen and 2 from Interesting, so we have about an hour set. I am looking forward to playing, just a little more than a week away!

Did a quick interview with the local paper. I hope it turns out OK. I just thought we should be making a big deal about this. Now I just need a few more things for the show tommorow. A RF modulator, and an ink cartridge for my printer. Put a few more things in the van and hopefully we'll be ready to go.

The article in the paper was excellent! So was trying to get a few last things together and move them to the van. The goal was to be at Todd's for 2. So at 1.45 I go to start the van and ... it won't start! I had just started it a few days ago and now nothing. After playing around I called Todd and told him I would have to make 2 trips with the truck. So I got to Todds about 3 and we then got to the art center around 4. Loading in was a gargantuan task as there are about a good 25 verticle feet of stairs. So we labored everything in as fast as we could and then Jordan and I grabbed the second truckload while Todd started to set up. Time just seemed to disappear as I quickly tried to get sound for us then switched to another board for the openers. I got a quick soundcheck from them and then told them to start. I continued to attempt sound, set up lights and monitors while they played. Nonsence had a great set but I was very distracted, and they were done before I knew it. So I changed everything to the other board, fixed some light issues, and set up my video stuff as best as I could. Then we started. There was a quick little moment in Silver where I started to doubt, but by the time we finished Cornered I was no longer concerned and this was the part of the night that we had prepared for pretty much all year. Although my voice was a bit sore it held out, and we played great versions of all of our songs. Jordan not only nailed the songs on the first outing he had excellent stage presence and was amazing to watch (later on the video). It was boiling hot and the sweat just rolled off of all of us. If the playing was the only thing I had to be concerned about this would have been an easy gig. When we played Spiral I was so spent, but we still had to load out and had an hour and a half to do it. It took an hour and 40 minutes with a bit of help. We went to Todds to celebrate but I was too tired and left after 2 beer. But it was a good tired!
